Why the charge for reservations under 7 days?
We are here to serve the holiday makers: people who'd stay two weeks in Havana and one week in the Bay of Pigs or other way round. Short stays carry additional costs which we are trying to recover by charging the extra $20 or $30. What costs?
- If we block a room for 3 or 4 days we are then losing tourists, who would request a longer vacation in the same period.
- We are running extra costs for cleaning and towel & linen exchange after just a few days.
- Each reservation requires new communication with the hosts and the telephone, email and internet charges in Cuba are probably beating the world records.
